Disclaimer
Vibe is a platform for raising awareness of causes. This page explains the limits of what AOTC checks and what it does not, so you can judge for yourself what you read here.
1. We do not verify causes or beneficiaries
Causes on Vibe are submitted by users and by organisations, not written by us. Moderators review a submission before it is published, but that review is a decision about whether the content is suitable for the platform — not an investigation of whether a cause is genuine, whether a named beneficiary exists or consents, whether an organisation is registered or in good standing, or how any organisation uses its funds.
Beneficiary names are free text.Whoever submits a cause types the beneficiary’s name themselves. A name appearing on Vibe therefore does not mean that organisation submitted the cause, reviewed it, approved it, or is aware of it at all.
2. No endorsement or recommendation
The presence of a cause, a category or an organisation’s name on Vibe is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a statement of quality by us. We do not rank causes by merit and we do not advise you to support any particular one, on Vibe or elsewhere.
3. Vibe moves no money, and measures no outcome
Vibe processes no donations, payments or payouts of any kind. Vibes and seconds of attention are engagement measures: they record that people looked at and supported a cause on this platform. They are not a measure of money raised, aid delivered, or any real-world result, and they carry no monetary value.
If you decide to give money, goods or time to a cause or organisation you learned about here, you do so entirely outside Vibe and at your own risk. Check the recipient yourself first — Vibe is not a substitute for that check.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on Vibe is legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice. Content about a cause, however sincere, is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional about your own situation.
5. Accuracy and availability
- Content may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and a cause may continue to appear after the situation it describes has changed.
- We may change, remove or reclassify content at any time, including after publication.
- The service may be unavailable or interrupted, and we do not guarantee that any particular content remains accessible.
6. Third-party content and links
Where Vibe shows content or links originating from users, organisations or third-party services, we do not control it and are not responsible for it. Following a link takes you to a site with its own terms and its own privacy practices.
7. Limits of our liability
To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on content published on Vibe, or from any dealing you have with a cause, beneficiary or organisation you found through it. This does not affect liability that cannot be excluded by law. The full position is set out in our Terms of Service.
8. Reporting a problem
If a cause is misleading, names your organisation without authority, or should not be on the platform, tell us at vibeplatform.app@gmail.com and we will review it. Reports about a named beneficiary are taken seriously — we would rather unpublish a cause and check than leave a disputed one up.
