Terms of Service

Effective 19 August 2026

Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and AOTC for the Vibe mobile app and the Vibe admin and organisation portal. By creating an account or using Vibe you accept them, so please read them.

1. Who may use Vibe

You must be at least 18 years old to use Vibe. Some accounts are created by invitation from an organisation; in that case you also need that organisation to have invited the email address you sign up with.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate details, and keep your email address current — it is how we verify you and how sign-in codes reach you.
  • Keep your password and one-time codes to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • One account per person. Do not share an account or sign in as somebody else.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.

3. Organisation accounts

If you join Vibe through an employer or other organisation, an administrator of that organisation can see and manage your membership: they can view your name, email and activity within the organisation, change your role, and deactivate or remove your membership. If that is not what you want, use a personal account instead.

Organisation administrators agree to invite only people entitled to be there, and to hold any lawful authority they need to submit and manage causes on the organisation’s behalf.

4. Causes and content you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting it you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting Vibe. That licence ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been shared with others or we must retain it by law.

Causes are reviewed before publication. A submitted cause is not public until a moderator approves it, and we may reject it, ask for changes, remove it later, or record a reason for rejection. We are not obliged to publish anything.

You are responsible for what you submit, and you confirm that:

  • You have the right to submit it, including the rights to any images.
  • It is accurate, and does not misrepresent a cause, a beneficiary or your relationship to them.
  • It is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, deceptive, obscene, or an infringement of anybody’s rights.
  • It does not solicit money, goods or services — Vibe is not a fundraising platform (see section 5).

5. Vibes carry no monetary value

Impact on Vibe is measured in vibes and in seconds of attention. Vibes are not currency: they cannot be bought, sold, transferred, redeemed or exchanged for money, goods or services, and they confer no financial interest of any kind. Vibe processes no donations, payments or payouts, and we do not represent that any cause receives money because of activity on Vibe.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use Vibe to help anybody else do so.
  • Impersonate another person or organisation, or misstate your affiliation with one.
  • Interfere with the service — probing, overloading, or attempting to bypass authentication, rate limits or moderation.
  • Scrape, harvest or bulk-extract data, or use automated means to inflate vibes or manipulate rankings.
  • Reverse engineer or copy any part of Vibe except as the law expressly permits.
  • Upload malware, or content that risks harm to users or their devices.

7. Notifications and email

We send transactional messages that are part of the service: email verification, sign-in codes, password resets and invitations. These are not marketing and cannot be turned off while your account is active. Push notifications are optional and controlled by your device settings.

8. Our intellectual property

Vibe, its name, logo, software and design belong to AOTC. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of any part of it, and no rights are granted beyond what is written here.

9. Third-party services

Vibe relies on services we do not control — Google for optional sign-in and for notification delivery, and cloud infrastructure for hosting and storage. Their availability affects ours, and using an optional Google sign-in also means accepting Google’s own terms. How these providers handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Vibe and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, or remove content, if you breach these terms, if your account is used to harm others or the service, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.

Deleting your account does not automatically erase everything: the Privacy Policy explains what is retained, for how long, and why.

11. Availability and changes to the service

Vibe is provided as it is, and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may add, change or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what the service does, we will give notice in the app or by email.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Moderation reduces the risk of misleading causes but cannot eliminate it: we do not warrant that any cause, beneficiary or organisation described on Vibe is accurately represented, and you rely on your own judgement in deciding what to support.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost data, profits or goodwill. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top reflects the current version, and we will give notice before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Vibe afterwards means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
